Although my time with University Program Board was cut short due to COVID-19, as a student designer I was able to successfully work with the marketing and graphics team to create promotional flyers for campus events advertised around the quad and social media
I created this promotional graphic for the Underground Comedy Show event. I incorporated hand written white text (to represent chalk) on a black background to encapsulate a coffee house aesthetic. I also incorporated twinkle lights and a brick wall background to create the atmosphere of an underground show. This graphic was approved by the University Program Board, however, was not utilized with COVID-19 canceling the event.
I created this graphic for the Safe Sex Awareness event on campus. This event was held in December since World AIDS Day occurs in this month. I researched visual representations for AIDS and found the red ribbon, which I incorporated into the text. Myself and the marketing and graphics team worked together to come up with the slogan, “Keep your fruit fresh!”, and so after this was decided I created a graphic of a banana with a condom covering it as a play on text and image. The image to the left is an example of the graphic posted on UPB’s social media and the image below is a tall poster
